Unique Full Daybed Frame

Full daybed frame– A daybed provides a nice compromise between turning a spare room in a room or living room. With a daybed, you can get the benefits of both. While some people simply convert single bed to a daybed, by placing it against the wall and feed back with pillows, it’s not so hard to construct a solid full daybed frame if you have some basic woodworking skills and the right tools.

Make a full daybed frame, Carve two side tracks to dimensions 10 inches wide by 76 inches long, and medium density fiberboard. Cut the end rails 10 inches wide by 37 inches long.  Carve out support cleats, 1 foot by 1 foot support platform. Installing these cleats 1 1/2 inch down from the top where the side and end rails meet. Leaving a space along the side rails, this measures 2 feet from end to leave room for two cross pieces supporting platform midlife.

Put more 1-by-1-foot cleats 1 1/2 inch from the bottom; place them around the perimeter of full daybed frame. Cut out two cross supports for the platform. Turn the frame upside down. Attach metal brackets corners on the perimeter. Screw bun feet on the ends. Flip the frame back upright. Instead the cross supports in position and adding both platform pieces on top.
